Qatar to Take Part in International Holy Quran Competition in Moscow

Doha ,September 17 (QNA) -- The State of Qatar will participate in the 5th Moscow International Holy Quran Award Contest due to start on Thursday. Qatar will be represented by Mohammed Yahya Taher , who competes in the category of memorizing the whole Holy Quran . In a statement , Sultan bin Saad Al-Bader, Head of the Holy Quran and its Sciences section at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' Call and Guidance Department said that it is the first participation of Qatar in the three-day Moscow Quran Reciting Competition which will kick off tomorrow . He stressed keenness of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs to participate in the international Holy Quran competitions.(QNA)
