Qatar Takes Part in the International Labor Conference in Geneva

Doha, June 01 (QNA) - The State of Qatar is taking part in the 103rd Session of the International Labor Conference (ILC) in Geneva, Switzerland. HE Qatar's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Dr. Abdullah Saleh Al Khulaifi left Doha on Sunday morning on the head of an official delegation to take part in the Conference. The Conference, which continues until June 12, sheds light on several topics of concern to the Arab region, including the transformation from informal economy to formal economy, promoting actions aimed at putting an end to forced labor, as well as sustainable employment recovery policies. The Conference also discusses general survey of reports relevant to Convention No. 131 of 1970 on the determination of, and recommendations on minimum wages, as well as reports on fair migration and the situation of workers in the occupied Arab territories.
