Qatar, UK Discuss Preparations for Thirteenth UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

London, January 20 (QNA) - HE Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdullah Yusuf Al Mal, Advisor to the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the Thirteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Doha 2015), and his accompanying delegation discussed with senior officials from the UK Home Office in London the ongoing preparations for the UN conference which is scheduled to be held next April.     The meeting, which focused on Qatar's preparations to host this global event, discussed many issues of concern to the British side on the conference's agenda, especially with regard to the fight against organized crime and corruption, drugs and human trafficking.     Director General of the Strategy, Immigration and International Group at the Home Office Mike Anderson, and Richard Wyle from organized crime unit, along with Peter Starr and Joe Bill from the Office for Security and Counter-Terrorism attended the meeting.     HE Qatar's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Yousef bin Ali Al Khater also attended the meeting.
