Qatari Businessmen Association Commends 19th International Business Forum

Doha, October 06 (QNA) - The organization of the 19th International Business Forum (IBF) Congress and the 2nd High Tech Port Fair in Qatar demonstrates the depth of the Qatari-Turkish relations and reflects the strength of their trade and economic relations as well as their ties at all levels, HE Chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani. Praising the excellent relations binding Qatar and Turkey, HE QBA Chairman said these ties were further promoted by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani after they were initiated by HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, citing what the Turkish Minister of Defense said in his speech before the conference's opening today when he highlighted the Qatari role in the region and its key role in resolving existing disputes and conflicts. The QBA Chairman hoped that the Qatari private sector will fully participate in the coming times, pointing out that the presence of several state authorities including the Ministry of Economy and Commerce would push these efforts forward. Such conferences and exhibitions, he said, offer an excellent opportunity for businessmen, especially since the Turkish side along with its Qatari partners seeks to achieve significant investments worth up to $ 5 billion. This can be achieved, he added. The multiplicity of income sources is essential and the business sector in Qatar is working to adapt to all the different economic conditions, His Excellency said, pointing out that the decline in gas and oil prices will not affect the country's economy because of its policy to diversify the economy. In a press statement, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal Al-Thani, a member of the QBA Board of Directors, while hailing the relations between Qatar and Turkey of which the private sector in both countries are taking advantage said that the aim of the exhibition is to allow Qatari businessmen to visit the expo and introduce them to Turkish products, especially since this exhibition is held for the first time in Qatar.
