Qatari-Omani Joint Committee's Follow-up Committee Meets in Doha

Doha, February 16 (QNA) - The Qatari-Omani Joint Committee's follow-up committee held a meeting at the Ministry of Finance premises in Doha on Monday. Tasked with following the progress of the Supreme Committee, the follow-up committee addressed in its meeting today a number of issues that were discussed in the previous Qatar-Omani Committee's meetings headed by the finance ministers of both countries, according to a press statement released by the Ministry of Finance. The meeting focused on manpower, tourism, transport, environment, culture and education, and discussed ways to remove obstacles facing joint ventures between the two countries, the statement said. It added that the two sides agreed to spare every effort possible to overcome obstacles that hinder the implementation of joint projects between the two parties, and to report its recommendations to the upcoming meeting of Qatar-Omani Joint Committee. The two sides also stressed the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and the importance of working together to advance them. (QNA)
