Qatari Papers Hail HH the Emir's Visits to Colombia, Argentina

Doha, July 28 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers hailed HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visits of two important countries in the South America continent, Colombia and Argentina, saying that the visits are of great political and economic importance in the context of strengthening the partnership between Arab and South American countries. The Arabic (Al Watan) newspaper said that HH the Emir's visits to Colombia and Argentina represent a clear political determination to achieve fruitful results to strengthen the State of Qatar's status as well as its prestigious international role. This tour in which HH the Emir began with a visit to Bogota came within a distinct political context represented in the promotion of the great roles played by the State of Qatar under its wise leadership of His Highness in the of international politics arena, Al Watan newspaper said. The paper also praised the important role of HH the Emir in enhancing the status of the State of Qatar in various regional and international forums, noting to the political and media tributes to the wise approach of HH the Emir. The paper concluded by saying that the Qatari-Colombian talks represent a real consolidation of the close ties between the two countries and explores new horizons for the development of these ties in all areas of cooperation, partnership and coordination in the political and economic spheres for the benefit of the two countries peoples. For its part, (Al-Sharq) said that HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's visit to the South American continent, which started to the Republic of Colombia comes within the framework of strengthening various political and economic relations between the Arab and South American countries. It emphasized that the visit acquires a special significance because it is the first visit by Arab leader to visit the continent after the 4th Arab-Latin summit that held in Riyadh and aimed to achieve political coordination, discuss international and regional issues and promote existing cooperation in economic, environmental, cultural and social fields, as well as trade opportunities and interests between the business and investment sectors from both sides. Al-Sharq newspaper said that the important visit also came to support the historic stance of the continent's countries in supporting the just Arab causes, especially the Palestinian issue and freedom and democracy issues in the Arab world. In conclusion, the newspaper expressed confidence that HH the Emir's tour will open promising areas of political and economic cooperation and will revive GCC markets and will achieve as well welfare for the peoples of Arab, GCC and South American countries.
