Qatar's Advisory Council Holds Regular Weekly Session

Doha, April 20 (QNA) - The Advisory Council held today its weekly regular session under the Council's Chairman HE Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting Secretary-General of the Council HE Fahad bin Mubarak Al-Khayreen read out the agenda which has been approved. Afterwards the Council endorsed minutes of its previous session. The Council reviewed a memorandum by the Cabinet's General Secretariat addressed to the Ministry of Transport on the Advisory Council's recommendations related to a draft law for the issuance of safety regulations in small loads ships not covered by international maritime treaties in GCC states. The Council took note of the memorandum. The Council discussed a draft law annulling law No. 14 of 1987 on levying fees for certificates issued by the Ministry of Education and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet. The Council also discussed a report by the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee on a draft law amending some provisions of the custom law issued by law No. 40 of 2002 and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet.(QNA)
