Qatar's Deputy Premier, UNAMID Chief Meet Darfur Movements Leaders

Doha, May 30 (QNA) - HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud and Dr. Martin Ihoeghian Uhomoibhi the Joint Special Representative and AU/UN, Joint Chief Mediator for Darfur and the Chairman of the mission of (UNAMID), on Monday a meeting in Doha with the delegations from Sudan Liberation Army/Movement chaired by Mini Arko Minawi and the Delegation from Justice and Equality Movement chaired by Dr. Jibril Ibrahim. Talks during the meeting focused on the possibility of the two movements joining the peace process on the basis of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) and the views of the two movements in this regard. HE Ahmed Abdullah Al Mahmoud and the Joint Chief Mediator Chairman of (UNAMID), will continue consultations with the two movements in order to reach common grounds that could pave the way for the movements joining the peace process in Darfur.
