Qatar's Embassy to the Dominican Republic Celebrates National Day

Santo Domingo, December 21 (QNA) - Qatar's Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, HE Khamis Butti al-Sahouti, has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day. The reception was attended by the Ministers of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Culture and Labor at of the Dominican Government along with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and a number of senior officials and ambassadors accredited to the Dominican Republic, businessmen and representatives of the Arab community . On this occasion, the Qatari Ambassador delivered a speech in which he stressed that Qatar's foreign policy is based on the principles of peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, the promotion of common interests, and playing an active role within the international community in maintaining security, peace and respect for human rights, stressing in this regard the importance of the settlement of international disputes by peaceful means in accordance with international law. He also highlighted the role being played by the State of Qatar in several areas through providing assistance to the countries in need of aids, and enhancing dialogue of cultures, civilizations and religions. He also praised the relations between the State of Qatar and the Dominican Republic, pointing in this regard to Qatar's keenness to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation in all fields. A number of videos on Qatar's construction boom and the infrastructure projects were also displayed during the reception. (QNA)
