Qatar's Embassy to Germany Celebrates National Day

Berlin, December 17 (QNA) - HE Qatar's Ambassador to Germany Abdul Rahman bin Mohamed al-Khulaifi held at the "Ritz-Carlton" hotel in Berlin, today a reception on the occasion of Qatar's National Day . The ceremony was attended by a group of senior officials in the German government , the state of Berlin , members of the German Federal Parliament, "Bundestag" , state parliament of Berlin , a number of German and Arab businessmen in addition to the heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Germany. The chief of protocol in the German foreign ministry, Jorgen Christian Mertens, offered congratulations on behalf of the German government to Al Khulaifi in this solemn occasion In his speech on the occasion, Al Khulaifi said that the anniversary comes this year and Qatar daily witnesses further development and growth, while saying Qatar has become today a focus of the world's sports due to its hosting international sport competitions, most notably the 2022 FIFA World Cup, adding that sport is most important pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030 During the ceremony a documentary film with a vivid picture of Qatar's renaissance in various fields was displayed and books on most prominent tourist sites and recreational areas in Qatar in addition to the publications on the international sports championships to be hosted by Qatar over the coming years were distributed.(QNA)
