Qatar's Embassy in Sudan Celebrates National Day

Khartoum , December 17 (QNA) -Qatar's Embassy in Khartoum has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day. In his speech on this occasion , HE Qatar's Ambassador to Sudan Rashid bin Abdurrahman Al Nuaimi affirmed that National Day is an opportunity to look into principles of Qatar's establishment , progress and prosperity in addition to the political, economic, sports achievements that had been accomplished under the wise Qatari leadership. Al Nuaimi stressed that Qatar has proved it is able to achieve growth and prosperity and it has taken wide strides towards a promising future development and prosperity. He said that the Qatari-Sudanese relations are witnessing continuous development due to common desire under the wise leadership of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani and the Sudanese President Omar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir and their keenness to activate these ties for the benefit of the two brotherly countries.    He said that Qatar's efforts for achieving peace in Sudan did not stop after the signing of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) but are continuing to achieve stability and development in the region. He added that next year will witness opening of other projects in north and east of Darfur states . For his part, the representative of the Sudanese President and Minister of Minerals Ahmed Mohammed Sadiq al-Bashir Alkaruri affirmed keenness of the Sudanese president to develop relations with the State of Qatar .    He noted that the Sudanese-Qatari relations characterized by excellence and firmness, adding that Sudan preserves to Qatar and its wise leadership their standing beside it in addition to their following-up and supporting to implement the DDPD's provisions so as to realize stability in Darfur region," stressing that the Sudanese people highly appreciate Qatar's noble humanitarian role with their country during the plight of the floods and rains that swept across large parts of the country.(QNA)
