Qatar's Interior Ministry Sings Deals During Milipol

Doha, October 21 (QNA) - The Ministry of Interior announced that it had concluded deals worth QAR187 million and 700,000 a number of exhibitors at the Milipol Qatar 2014. Brigadier Saud Al Shafi Director of Procurement Department at the Ministry of the Interior and Member of the Milipol Committee said at a press conference held to announce the deals that the Ministry until today, the second day of Milipol, has concluded seven diverse deals local and foreign companies covering equipment and systems of development and operation of control and communications for a number of Ministry's departments. The biggest announced deal announced today, worth QAR 61 million and 500 thousands, was signed with with one of the companies for the supply of 24 fire engines, in addition to the maintenance of a number of fire engines and rescue vehicles of the General Directorate of Civil Defence. The deals also included the supply of 20 search and rescue boats for the Coast and Borders Security Department worth 34 million with search and rescue supplies. The Interior Ministry has also concluded an agreement with a specialized company in the technological field to supply and operate a number of programmes and security surveillance systems and the development of infrastructure worth QAR 22 million and 400 thousand. Brigadier Al Shafi also announced a deal for the supply driving and vehicles licenses cards as well as supplies for the Traffic Police Department worth of QAR 16 million and 500 thousand. An agreement with a company for the development and maintenance of digital Tetra radio communications systems worth QAR 36 million and 600,000, in addition to a deal to supply 114 service cars worth QAR 6 million and 800 thousand. The deals included an agreement for the supply of a number of smart identity cards to the General Directorate of Ports and international affairs worth 9 million and 900 000.(QNA)
