Qatar's Justice Minister Meets BarBri Company Officials

Doha, December 01 (QNA) - HE Minister of Justice Hassan bin Lahdan Saqr Al Mohannadi on Tuesday met Stephen Fredette CEO of legal studies firm BarBri as well as the compay's vice president Mark Thomas and international director Natalia Urrea. The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice, represented by the Center of Legal and Judicial Studies (CLJS), and BarBri, particularly in the field of training and rehabilitating Qatari legal practitioners and lawyers and organizing specialized courses so as to enhance the expertise and skills of legal practitioners at the ministry and CLJS trainees. The meeting also discussed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Justice and BarBri to train Qatari legal practitioners in the field of international law, particularly finance and investment laws, training Qatari lawyers to plead before international and multi-jurisdiction courts as well as preparing specialized programs for teaching legal English language and organizing open seminars with international legal personalities to learn about their experiences and expertise. BarBri is a leading company in the bar exam preparation course in the United States and has successfully cooperated with several international entities. (QNA)
