Qatar's Police College and NHRC Sign Cooperation Protocol

Doha, September 02 (QNA) - Qatar's Police College and the National Human Rights Committee(NHRC) signed here today a cooperation protocol on coordination in the fields of human rights between the two sides. The protocol was signed by Director-General of Qatar Police College Brig. Dr Mohamed Abdullah Al Mohanna and NHRC Secretary-General Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah. Brig. Dr Al Mohanna said that the cooperation protocol comes within the framework of the Police College's future vision to collaborate with colleges and different community institutions inside Qatar and abroad Since its establishment by an Emiri decision, the NHRC, has played big role in introducing and spreading the culture of human rights thus leading to this cooperation which serves students of the Police College, in courses related to human rights, freedoms and equality, participation in the preparation of working papers, researches and studies or preparations for seminars and workshops held in cooperation between the two sides to serve the community in addition to benefiting from the two entities' libraries. For her part, the NHRC Secretary-General expressed pleasure over this cooperation which embodies the message of the Ministry of the Interior in maintaining Human Rights, underlining the need for work side by side to reach a safe community in which the dignity , human rights and justice in all their forms are maintained.
