QF Awards Sidra Construction Works to Joint Venture

Doha, July 24 (QNA) - Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) has announced that works to complete construction of Sidra Medical and Research Center, located in Education City, have been awarded to a joint venture between MIDMAC (WLL), and the Consolidated Contractors Group SAL (Offshore) (CCC). in a press release issued today, QF said the two companies, which hoped to benefit from the experiences of the subcontractor companies that had been working on this project previously, are expected to proceed with their work at the site immediately. QF announced on Tuesday that it has terminated the contract for design and construction of the Sidra Facilities in Doha, Qatar, which was awarded in 2008 to the OHL International / Contrack (Cyprus) Ltd. Joint Venture. Sidra Medical and Research Center (Sidra) is a crucial project for the people of Qatar. Sidra is committed to bringing state-of-the-art patient care to Qatar, the Gulf region and the world, QF said in a statement today. Sidra has three essential missions: world-class patient care, medical education and biomedical research.
