QNA Organizes Training Course on News Values

Doha, November 29 (QNA) - Qatar News Agency (QNA) started on Sunday a specialized training course entitled " The Most Important News Values", in the framework of a series of courses organized by QNA Department of Foreign Media Affairs for the rehabilitation and training of Qatari cadres working in the media field. The five-day course provides a concept of TV news values, its functions, factors affecting news, major standards adopted in TV news coverage as well as the political and geographical standards due to be adopted in dealing with public affairs in news coverage. Trainees from several ministries are attending the course lectured by Al-Jazeera's veteran anchor, Mohammed Krishan. The training courses, organized continuously by QNA, come in implementation to the Emiri decision NO. (51) of 2009, which entrusted QNA with the task of providing continuous media training to Qatari media persons in order to improve their performance through ongoing training and development programs.
