Qom to host international conference on Indo-Iranian common heritage

TEHRAN,Aug.28(MNA)– The city of Qom will be hosting an international conference on Indo-Iranian common heritage opening on September 26. The event has been organized by the Islamic Treasures Association and the Institute for History of Knowledge and Culture with an approach to literature, art, science, technology, religion, mysticism, and philosophy, the association has reported on its website. “Mystical Sects in India”, “Philosophical Schools in India”, “Prevalence of Mysticism and Sufism in Iran and India”, “Preservation of Persian Heritage in India”, and “The Role and Influence of Symbols on Iranian and Indian Architecture” are among the topics to be discussed. Several programs have been arranged on the side section of the conference including a photo exhibition of contemporary Iranian and Indian photographers focusing on Indian art. In addition, Iranian experts will hold a workshop on Indo-Iranian miniature, while an exhibition of calligraphy works and a book fair will also open on the side section.
