Rabies shots for dogs in Hat Yai

SONGKHLA, March 10 (TNA) – Pet owners have their dogs vaccinated in Hat Yai district in the southern province of Songkhla after a person died of rabies, official said. Public Health officials went around a village in the district and provided free anti- rabies vaccination. as well as registration for cats, dogs and other kinds of pets. Pet owners lined up a community center to have their pets vaccinated and registered after they learned that one person had died of rabies. A veterinarian in Songkhla province said statistics showed that 65 cases of rabies were found in 15 districts in the province in 2017 and a total of 16 cases in six districts since this January up till now. The dead victim was reported last month. (TNA)
