RAF Donations Increase 17% in First Half of 2016

Doha, July 25 (QNA) - Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation (RAF) announced Monday its results for the first half of the year. The foundation's officials held today a press conference to discuss the progress of the first half of 2016. They said that RAF received QR326.670 million, an increase of 17% in the first half. Internal and external expenditures were QR376.501 million, up 37% compared to the previous year. The internal spending increased 74% year-on-year to reach QR74.907 million. The sum covered 12 services programmes that took part in the first six months. External expenditure increased 19% Y-O-Y to QR301.593 million. They provided aid to 7.481 million people, up 19% compared to the same period of last year. Chairman of RAF HE Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani Al-Thani praised the achievements of the foundation over the past seven years. His Excellency also praised the progress in the foundation's efficiency.
