Raisi congratulates Indonesia on Independence Day

Tehran, IRNA – President Ebrahim Raisi on Wednesday congratulated Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo on the country’s Independence Day, hoping for the two nation’s close ties to be continued. In his congratulatory message, President Raisi expressed hope that historical and cultural links and common interests would cause the close ties and lasting friendship between Iran and Indonesia to last and their relationship to improve as much as possible. Raisi said that he believed the expansion of bilateral and multilateral ties in line with common interests and protecting international peace and stability considering the countless cooperation opportunities between the two countries can open a new chapter in expansion of ties between Iran and Indonesia and also the Islamic World.
