RasGas Honours 198 Long-serving Staff

Doha, November 26 (QNA) Qatar's RasGas Company honoured 198 employees at its second annual long-service award ceremony of the year, the company said Wednesday. The energy company honoured staff that completed five, ten, 15 and 20 years of service for their loyalty, commitment, dedication, and hard work. It honoured 498 long-serving employees in 2014. Speaking at the Long Service Award event, RasGas Chief Executive Officer Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi lauded their corporate achievements over the years and reminded employees that their future with RasGas is promising and full of opportunities. "In 2015, our first Barzan Gas Train will come on stream, and when the second Barzan train is completed, RasGas will be one of the largest gas processors in the world," said Al Mohannadi. "Work has already begun on developing our Helium 3 and Flow Assurance Projects. We are successfully continuing to expand our market reach through strategic partnerships with customers with a blend of long and short term sales and purchase agreements," he added. Chief Operations Officer Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi and Chief Corporate Planning and Commercial Officer Nasser Mohammed Al Naimi, who have been with RasGas since the beginning stages, received special recognition at the awards ceremony for their services over 20 years. RasGas is one of the most successful energy suppliers in the world. Apart from the seven liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains, RasGas two helium production facilities and the construction of the Barzan Gas Project. The company also operates a dedicated fleet of 27 LNG carriers under long term charter agreements with ship owners. (QNA)
