RCO signs agreement to build school in Amman

Amman, Feb. 11 (BNA): In line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to support the Syrian brethren, a cooperation agreement has been signed by the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) and Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to build Bahrain school in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on an area of 10 acres allocated by the Jordanian Education Ministry for the project. Jordanian Deputy Premier and Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed Dhanibet attended the signing of the agreement which was concluded by RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Sayed and JHCO Secretary General Ayman Riyadh Al-Meflah. Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa extended thanks to HM the King, the RCO Honorary President, for his continuous philanthropic initiatives to support Bahrainis' brethren in friendly and brotherly countries. He lauded the tremendous support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa as well as the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. Shaikh Nasser underlined RCO's keenness to carry out many development projects in brotherly and friendly countries, pointing out that the sustainable development policy is RCO's strategy in all rescue and humanitarian aid to assist countries all over the world. He said the project is part of Bahrain's efforts to support the Syrian brethren and back the humanitarian efforts of Jordan to give seats for the Syrian refugees' children at public schools. He explained that the project was announced by HRH the Crown Prince at the International Donors Conference which was hosted by Kuwait under the patronage of Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah. On his part, the Jordanian Deputy Premier and Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed Dhanibet extended heartfelt thanks to HM the King for his support to Jordan's efforts to assist the Syrian brethren, lauding deep-rooted historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and Jordan. He added that the agreement would help solve the problem of crowded classes at public schools as the project will benefit both the Jordanian and Syrian students.
