Real economic growth in Kazakhstan expected at 5.0 - 6.6 percent in 2015-2019

Baku, Azerbaijan, May 19 By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Real economic growth in Kazakhstan in 2015-2019 is expected at 5.0 - 6.6 percent, Kazakh Economy and Budget Planning Ministry reported on May 19. It is envisaged by a socio-economic development plan for this period which was approved by the Republican Budget Commission. "Real economic growth in 2015-2019 is forecasted at 5.0 - 6.6 percent. Nominal GDP is forecasted to grow up to 70.3 trillion tenge (182.01 tenge = $1) in 2019, GDP per capita will reach 20,600 in 2019," the ministry said. Export is expected to grow from $78.1 billion in 2015 to $92.0 billion in 2019. Import is forecasted to increase from $50.5 billion in 2015 to $56.1 billion in 2019. Pursuing a socio- economic policy whose key priorities are maintaining macroeconomic and financial stability, sustainable economic growth, social modernization of society, regional development and management of the urbanization process, further formation of public management and international integration will ensure archival of these goals.
