Restoration of Historical Remains Underway in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- Repair and restoration of historical remains is underway in the DPRK. According to Ro Chol Su, vice-director of the National Authority for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, it is being carried out to repair Woljong Temple in Anak County of South Hwanghae Province, Anbul Temple in Kumya County of South Hamgyong Province and Mannyon Temple in Kusong City of North Phyongan Province and restore Sokwang Temple in Kosan County of Kangwon Province. Those projects are scheduled to be completed this year with priority given to keeping principles of historicism and scientific accuracy. Woljong Temple was built in 846, Anbul Temple in 1393, Mannyon Temple in 1682 and Sokwang Temple in 1386. -0-
