ST. PETERSBURG, June 17. /TASS/. Rosneft does not hold negotiations with Iran on oil purchase, Chief Executive Officer of the Russian state-owned oil and gas company Igor Sechin said on Wednesday. Rosneft is interested in participating in Iran’s projects if they meet all legal requirements, Sechin said. "All the companies are paying attention to greenfield projects and interested in them," Rosneft CEO added. Furthermore, Rosneft neither holds negotiations with Iranian authorities on "Oil for Food" program nor received such proposals, Sechin said. Rosneft is the leader of the Russian oil sector. Its core businesses are exploration of hydrocarbon fields, production of oil, gas and gas condensate, implementation of offshore fields development projects, refining of produced feedstock and marketing of oil, gas and products of their processing and refining in Russia and overseas. Rosneftegaz wholly owned by the government is the majority shareholder of Rosneft (69.5%). 19.75% of shares are held by BP and the remaining 10.75% are in free float. Read more
