ROTA Restores Education for All School

Doha, July 22 (QNA) -The Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), with the participation of its volunteers, restored the Education for All School in Abu Hamour area and improved its classrooms as part of Rota Ramadan Project 2015 under the auspices of Occidental Petroleum Qatar Company. The aim of the initiative is to educate citizens about the importance and value of volunteer week and community service, which is consistent with the pillars of human and social development in Qatar National Vision 2030. ROTA mission aims to empower local communities in Qatar in particular and international communities in general by providing access to quality education to those who need it most. More than 100 ROTA volunteers worked for six days on the restoration of the school including cleaning, painting walls and installing the school's new furniture. ROTA Executive Director Issa Al-Mannai said the classroom are the child's education center and without a safe and clean placed equipped for learning, pupils cannot take advantage of their time in school. He explained that the renovation of the school is one of the ROTA's local projects aimed to ensure better levels of education to children and to allow them to excel in order to become productive members of society. In the previous few weeks ROTA organized several activities and charity events such as the distribution of food to needy families, prepared breakfast tables to workers with simple skills and shared breakfast and Garangao with children in different hospitals.(QNA)
