Rotterdam prof. to partake in Conf. on Iran’s Art Economics

TEHRAN, Feb. 23 (MNA) – Rotterdam professor will travel to Tehran to take part in the Conference of Art Economics held in Iran. Conference of Iran’s Art Economics is the first macro-level conference on the issues related to the arts and the economy. During the conference, experts and professors will examine Iran’s art economics and its challenges. Hans Abbing who is a painter, a photographer and an economist at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, will deliver a speech in the conference. Professor Hans Abbing is the author of the book “Why Are Artists Poor?” and “An Introduction to the Economics of Art” who won Werkbeurs award from the Netherlands Fine Arts Foundation and Basisstipendium award from the Visual Arts Foundation in 1995. Conference of Iran’s Art Economics will be held in Academy of Art in Tehran on February 28 and in Shiraz on February 29.
