Royal Court Minister patronizes Symbol of Harmony operetta

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): Symbol of Harmony operetta and a poetry evening today was held under the patronage of the Royal Court Minister also Board Chairman of Folk Poetry Society Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa. The Royal Court Minister was received upon arrival by Folk Poetry Society (FPS) Deputy Chairman, Mubarak Amro Al-Ammari, and members. Al-Ammari said the event is dedicated to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for being the defender of national unity and symbol of harmony among his people. The operetta features selected poems by Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Royal Court Minister, and four other outstanding poets. The Royal Court Minister honoured the event's sponsors, and he was presented with commemorative gift by Al-Ammari. He lauded the FPS efforts in organising the event and wished the organisers success in supporting the folk poetry march in Bahrain. A poetry evening was staged on the sidelines of the operetta with the participation of a number of local and GCC poets. The operetta highlights the glories of the Al Khalifa Family, starting from the arrival of Shaikh Ahmed Al-Fateh until the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. It will also shed light on the kingdom's landmark achievements throughout history. It is held marking the FOS' 20th anniversary, and the theme of the event refers to the kingdom's National Anthem, which was written by Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Royal Court Minister.
