Royally –sponsored cremation of cave hero

ROI ET, July 14 (TNA) - Privy Councillor Gen.Surayud Chulanont presided over the royally-sponsored cremation ceremony of Lieutenant Commander Saman Gunan, former navy SEAL member, who died helping save the boys in the cave rescue mission. The cremation ceremony was held at Baan Nong Khu temple in his hometown of Roi Et province. Meanwhile, the director –general of the Mental Health Department, Dr Boonruang Triruangworawat ordered mobile units of medical staff be deployed to take care of his family members. The director-general said he wants people to convert grief into the power of volunteer spirit as Lieutenant Commander Saman’s heroic act is recognized internationally and he is the exemplary person for doing good deeds to help others.
