Russia’s Eastern Economic forum expectnig 300 foreign businessmen

MOSCOW, August 21. /TASS /. The first ever Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), to be held in Russia’s Far Eastern city of Vladivostok this September, will bring together nearly 300 foreign businessmen, organizers said on Friday. "One thousand membership applications have been received from foreign businessmen, but according to the established quota, the number of companies’ delegations was reduced," organizers said. China is expected to send the largest delegation of 104 people, organizers said, adding that 64 Japanese, 33 South Korean and 24 EU delegates will be also attending the forum. The forum will be held from September 3 to 5 at Russky Island, connected to Russia's mainland by a bridge 1,104 metres long and 324 metres high, the world's biggest construction of its kind when built in 2012. The agenda will include problems of the development of the energy and fishing sectors, the use of natural resources, agriculture, transport and logistics, production, urban development and financial problems.
