Russia and Kazakhstan will sign documents on oil production in Caspian Sea, missile launches - President’s aide

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan will sign documents on oil production in the Caspian Sea and missile launches, the Russian president's aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Monday. He was making comments ahead of the visit of the Russian president to Kazakhstan on October 15. "Three documents are ready /for the signing by Presidents -TASS/," he said. "The first one is a protocol on amendments to the protocol of the agreement between Russia and Kazakhstan on the delimitation of the northern part of the Caspian Sea; it regulates the joint development of the Tsentralnaya oil-bearing structure," Ushakov said. He added that also an intergovernmental agreement on interaction during missile launches from the Dombarovsky missile launching area /in Russia’s Orenburg region -TASS will be signed. This document regulates the use of the Kazakh territory during the launches, he said. The rent for the use of the Kazakh territory will be $460,000 a year, he said. Ushakov said that during the visit an agreement on cooperation in the field of aviation search and rescue of people will be signed. Speaking of Putin's forthcoming visit to Kazakhstan, the aide said that the visit is "aimed to demonstrate the high level of Russian-Kazakh cooperation". Read more
