Russia, China agree to galvanize contacts on military cooperation - defense minister

BEIJING, October 19. /TASS/. The Russian military have agreed with their Chinese partners on more intensive contacts on military cooperation, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Friday. "During our meetings we agreed to more intensive contacts in military cooperation, and our agreements are being fully executed," Shoigu said. He noted that meetings with China’s military-political administration became regular. "Our meetings with my colleagues [from China] became regular and are taking place not just during sessions of the intergovernmental commission," Shoigu said. Earlier on Friday Shoigu and Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission Zhang Youxia held the 23rd session of the Russian-Chinese Mixed Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation.
