Russia delivers strikes basing on intelligence collected by Iraq, Iran, Syria - general staff

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Russia chooses targets for strikes on facilities of the Islamic State terrorist organisation basing on the intelligence collected by the Iranian, Iraqi and Syrian intelligence agencies, Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff Andrey Kartapolov said on Wednesday. "All the targets are meticulously checked up with the use of space and radio-electronic intelligence, footages made by unmanned aerial vehicles and information intercepted by radio," Kartapolov told a briefing. "Also, we use the information from the Iranian, Iraqi and Syrian intelligence agencies, including information from agents." "After the analysis of the collected information, the would-be strikes are modelled on computers and only afterwards a final decision to deliver a strike is made. The same algorithm is used for defining the targets for aviation," he said. Also, Kartapolov pointed out that all the strikes are delivered on precise targets as protracted and meticulous preparatory work precedes each strike and each facility is put on a special list.
