Russia, India, China urge to step up efforts to reach agreement on Iran

BEIJING, February 2. /TASS/. The Russian, Indian and Chinese foreign ministers have urged the six international mediators and Iran to step up efforts to reach an agreement on the Iranian nuclear dossier. The Ministers reaffirmed their support for efforts to find a comprehensive and lasting solution to the problem of Iran's nuclear program by political and diplomatic means. They welcomed the extension of agreements between the six international mediators and Iran and expressed the hope that the two sides would intensify diplomatic efforts to reach a comprehensive agreement as soon as possible. Ministers called on Iran and the IAEA to step up cooperation to resolve all remaining issues, they said in a communique. As soon as the IAEA confirms the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program with a system of strict monitoring and by settling all former and current issues, Iran will get all the rights to work on peaceful nuclear energy use, including uranium enrichment under the strict supervision of the IAEA and in accordance with its international obligations, the document said.
