Russian Culture Minister Stresses Promoting Tehran-Moscow Cultural, Artistic Ties

Moscow, Oct 4, IRNA – Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky underscored development of cultural interactions with Iran. In a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, he expressed pleasure with Hosseini’s visit to his country and hoped that the visit will lead to expansion of cultural and artistic ties between the two states. Hailing Iran’s cultural and artistic achievements, especially in the field of cinema, he hoped that the two countries' artists will exchange experience by signing a new protocol. Referring to Iran’s film production and their presence in various international festivals, he praised the increasing reputation of the Iranian cinema. He also voiced his country’s readiness for mutual cultural and artistic cooperation. Hosseini is in Russia to inaugurate Iran’s cultural week and Iran’s film week in the country./end
