Russian diplomat admits risk of terrorists getting grip on chemical weapons

MOSCOW, July 7. /TASS/. There are risks that terrorists active in Syria’s territory might lay their hand on chemical weapons, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said in an interview with TASS on Tuesday. "Such risk does exist," he said. "And if it happens, we can guess that no moral or other principles will bar them from using such weapons." "It should be brought home to states and the world community in general, so more vigorous efforts are to be taken to establish efficient cooperation in rebuffing terrorists anywhere," the Russian diplomat underscored. "Islamic State is obviously seeking to break all possible and impossible records of cruelty and inhumanity - their brutal mass executions prove it."
