Russian military hands over 4.9 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to Syrians

The Russian military has conducted two humanitarian operations over the past 24 hours, with 4.9 tonnes of humanitarian cargo handed over to Syria’s population, the Russian Center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in its daily bulletin on Tuesday. "The Center for the reconciliation of the warring parties has conducted two humanitarian operations in the Aleppo and Damascus provinces," the bulletin said. "Over the past 24 hours, 2,700 people have received humanitarian aid. The total weight of the humanitarian cargo handed over to the population was 4.9 tonnes." In the Afrin populated locality (Aleppo province), local residents were handed over 2,000 portions of hoot food and 3.5 tonnes of bread. The Russian military also delivered 250 Easter food packages to Damascus. The reconciliation center noted that Russian aircraft had delivered 21.3 tonnes of humanitarian cargo (food) received by the Syrian authorities from the UN to the city of Deir ez-Zor. Read more
