Sadao Industrial Estate to open in 2019

BANGKOK, Jan 14 (TNA) - The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) will invest 1.28 billion baht on establishing Sadao Industrial Estate in the southern province of Songkhla. IEAT governor, Veerapong Chaiperm said so far, seven industrial operators have been interested to utilize the facilities at the industrial estate which has a total area of 370 acres. Investors will be able to start operations in late 2019. The estate is located at Songkhla Special Economic Zone, promoted by the government with an aim to boost trade, investment and tourism in the South with neighbouring countries. Other infrastructure is being developed to serve growing investment there, including road construction and improvement of customs and border crossing systems at Sadao and Padang Besar checkpoints.
