Sail Tomini to Have Great Benefit For Public Welfare

Gorontalo, March 6 (Antara) - Gorontalo Governor Rusli Habibie has expressed hope that the upcoming Sail Tomini and Boalemo Festival 2015 will produce great benefits that serve the welfare of the local community. The governor explained here on Friday that Sail Tomini and the Boalemo Festival have been scheduled for September 2015, but various preparations are already underway to ensure their success. "We have a lot of marine and fisheries potential to introduce and promote during Sail Tomini and the Boalemo Festival," Governor Habibie remarked. According to the governor, the international marine event of Sail Tomini and the festival aim to promote Tomini Bay, which borders the provinces of Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, and Central Sulawesi. Rusli noted that Sail Tomini will further strengthen and increase cooperation and brotherhood among the three provinces, which have been mutually supportive of each other. He pointed out that the numerous activities scheduled to coincide with the sail event and the festival include the Surya Baskara Jaya health service operation, a village development movement, national seminars, a diplomatic tour, a yacht rally, a Tomini Bay research expedition, and media publication. "These activities will be carried out during the sail event and the festival, as the government of Bengkulu province is determined to make the events a great success," Governor Rusli affirmed. The governor called on the public in the province to support these international and national events. "Both Sail Tomini and the Boalemo Festival will greatly contribute to the welfare of the local community, and therefore, all members of the public here should support the events," the governor added.
