Saudi Crown Prince: GCC States Will Continue Joint Coordination, Cooperation to Combat Terrorism

Doha, November 25 (QNA) - HRH Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said that the GCC member states will continue their joint coordination and cooperation to combat terrorist acts targeting stability and security. This came in a speech delivered by the Saudi Crown Prince during the opening session of the 34th consultative meeting at Doha Sheraton Hotel under chairmanship of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States and his wishes for them all success in their meeting. The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif extended thanks to and appreciation of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for the warm hospitality, thanking Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani for a good preparation of this meeting. He stressed that this meeting is held in light of international security developments and situations requiring to exert more serious and effective international cooperation in combating terrorism and addressing firmly the reasons, supporters and financiers of its activities. He added the terrorism is a crime threatening the entire humanitarian community which requires cooperation of all sides and all concerted efforts, stressing not to use the identity of those responsible in the terrorist acts in the abuse of belief, race or nation. "On this occasion, we emphasize our countries and peoples' condemnation to the terrorist acts that taken place in Tunisia, France and Mali. We express full solidarity with all countries facing a threat of terrorism and we will continue efforts of joint coordination and cooperation among the security authorities in combating terrorism," the Crown Prince added, while wishing all success for the participants in the meeting.
