Saudi Crown Prince Receives Japan's Waseda Univ. Honorary Doctorate

Tokyo, Feb. 21 (Jiji Press)--Visiting Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz was awarded an honorary doctorate at Japan's Waseda University in Tokyo on Friday, and received a bouquet of flowers from a humanoid robot. The crown prince has "carried out philanthropic activities worldwide and offered humanitarian support to eradicate poverty and restore peace," Waseda President Kaoru Kamata said. Smiling at the movements of the robot, the crown prince said that many Saudi students are studying in Japan and he was receiving the honorary doctorate on behalf of the Saudi people. END
