Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs Launches Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Programs in Uganda

Kampala, Apr 24, 2022, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in the Republic of Uganda, launched the two programs of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to break the fast of fasting people and distribute dates for 2022 under the supervision of the Kingdom’s ambassador to Uganda, Jamal bin Mohammed Al-Madani, and in the presence of a number of Ugandan Islamic figures and media as well as the Saudi embassy' staff. The two programs target nearly 1,000 fasting people, and distribute about 7 tons of dates, in addition to a number of integrated food baskets that cover all the families' food requirements during the blessed month in Uganda. The Saudi ambassador explained that the two projects come in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's benevolent efforts continue to support fraternal and friendly countries all over the world. For his part, Mufti of the Republic of Uganda; the Director of the Islamic University and the representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees expressed their deep thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their efforts in this regard. --SPA
