Scholars granted Minister’s scholarships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A ceremony took place Wednesday to present scholarships named after the Minister of Education and Science to some distinguished scholars. This year, the scholarship went to six scholars such as T.Monkhtuya, a teacher at the State University of Health Sciences; B.Boldbaatar, the scientific secretary of the Veterinary Institute; B.Tsatsralt-Od, a director of the National Center of Lemology in charge of scientific affairs; B.Itgel, the scientific secretary of the “Armono” scientific plant; G.Sevjidsuren, a senior scholar of the Physics and Electronics Institute; and J.Yanjmaa, director of the Khovd University. By the criteria, the scholarship with money of MNT 10 million is granted to scholars aged up to 45 years old and their scientific works must be exploited for innovations and preparing scholars of new generation. During the ceremony, the Minister Education Mr L.Gantomor underlined the reputation of this scholarship, and added six scholars received the scholarships this year although it annually goes to ten people. The Ministry of Education has Science pays great attention to preparing scholars and scientists of the new era. The Ministry’s scholarship is being granted from the year 2005, since then some 90 scholars have been awarded this scholarship.
