Scientists on Tibetan studies to gather here

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Thirteenth Seminar of the International Association for Tibetan Studies (IATS) will be held on July 21-27 in the Independence Palace, Ulaanbaatar city. Co-organized by the IATS, the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia, the Mongolian State University (MSU), the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, the upcoming event will bring together some 500 scholars and scientists from about 40 countries, who specialized in over 60 fields of science. Within the seminar, the participants will run discussions on religion of Buddhism, history of both Mongolia and Tibet, anthropology, environment, contemporary digital sciences, linguistics and the ties of Tibet with its neighbours. Moreover, an opening ceremony of the Mongolia-Tibet Union will take place during the seminar.
