SCW organises coach training course

Manama, May 27 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Women (SCW) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), organised the NGOs coach training on preparation kit for the inclusion of women's needs in development as part of equal opportunity at the Social Development Ministry's NGOs-Support Centre. The MoSD's Assistant Undersecretary for Human and Financial Resources, Faiqa al-Saleh, commended the efforts of the National Committee on Follow up of the Implementation of the Model for Inclusion of Women's Needs in Development, presided over by SCW's President Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, citing the committee's role in civil society institutions' capacity building for the inclusion of women's needs and equal opportunity. The SCW's advisor for training, Bahija al-Dulaimi, presented a lecture in which she outlined the basic concepts for the inclusion of women's needs and equal opportunity under global trends and the inclusion of women's needs and equal opportunity in the National Action Charter and the Constitution, the mechanism for inclusion of women's needs, cultural and social variance factors impacting on opportunity, rights, duties and the place of women and men. In her lecture, she expounded on the socio-economic and psychological impacts of inclusion of women's needs in development, categorisation of women's requirements, in addition to the efforts of the Supreme Council of Women in the inclusion of women's needs for development 2010-2015.
