Sea Games (Wushu) - Daffa Bags Bronze For Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Antara) - Indonesian wushu athlete Muhammad Daffa Golden Boy bagged a bronze medal for the country at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Monday. On the second day of the wushu event on Monday, Muhammad Daffa who scored 9.63 in the men's Qiangshu must admit the supremacy of host athletes Wai Kin Yeap who scored 9.68 to snatch a gold medal and Weng Son Wong who scored 9.45 to clinch a silver medal. In the women's Qiangshu, Indonesian athlete Thalia Novita finished in fifth position, failing to contribute any medal to the Indonesian team. The gold medal in the women's Qiangshu went to Vietnam's Thuy Vi Duong, while host athlete Eyin Phoon won a silver medal, Myanmar's Sandy Oo grabbed a bronze medal.
