SEC and Qatar Leadership Centre Sign Training Agreement

Doha, July 23 (QNA) - The Supreme Education Council (SEC) signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar Leadership Centre( QLC)to develop and strengthen capacity building of the SEC's leadership. The MoU was signed by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council (SEC) Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahid Al-Hammadi, and Board Member and Managing Director of QLC HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani . Under the memo, the QLC is to provide and hold a specialized training to upgrade skills of council's officials in a way to achieve the SEC's objectives in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. By signing MoU , Dr. Al Hammadi said that the SEC seeks to secure the employees receiving the best training courses which lead to promote their skills and to improve their performance and their career progression. HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani, Board Member and Managing Director of QLC stressed that the signing of this MoU with the SEC constitutes a beginning of a joint strategic cooperation between the two sides, where the council is one of the most important and prominent government institutions in the country . The education sector is a key factor for progress and essential core for any evolution and social, economic and political development, HE Sheikh Abdulla added.(QNA)
