SEC participates in 1st Imams, Preachers Forum

Manama, May 2 (BNA): Sunni Endowments Council (SEC) Chairman Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajiri chaired the first session of the first Imams and Preachers Forum held in Istanbul on 29-30 April. The World Mosques Body of the Muslim World League staged the event with the participation of more than 500 international Islamic thinkers, Imams and preachers. The forum focused on Imams and preachers' responsibilities for the dissemination of the danger posed by terrorism and extremism to Islamic communities. It also stressed promoting the approach of moderation.
