Security Committee takes necessary arrangements for pilgrims

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): Director-General of Ports Security and head of the Security Committee of the Bahrain Haj Mission has asserted that the number of Bahrain’s pilgrims are expected to be 5626 and most of them would travel via the Bahrain International Airport.

In accordance with the directives of Interior Minister to form security panels to follow the security and safety affairs of pilgrims in the holy cities, there have been cooperation and coordination with concerned authorities in Saudi Arabia, he said. 

He added that the members of the security committee had already left for Saudi Arabia to carry out their duties there. 

He said that the department had set a plan for smooth traffic for Bahrain’s pilgrims upon their departure and arrival.
