Senior officers inspect flooding in Chon Buri

CHON BURI, Sept 19 (TNA) - High-ranking officers today travelled to the eastern province of Chon Buri to inspect devastation by tropical depression Vamco there and find ways to assist flood victims following an order by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha. Deputy Defence Minister and also Army Commander-in-Chief Gen. Udomdej Sitabutr along with Deputy Interior Minister Sutee Markboon and Chatchai Phromlert, director-general of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, inspected damages in Chon Buri, Bang Lamung and Si Racha districts. They also handed out necessities to flood victims during the visit. Chon Buri is one of the flood-hit provinces which have been declared disaster zones by the government. (TNA)
